A 1:3 model has been developed, ensuring that some key specifications are properly represented, such as geometrical similarity and thrust to weight ratio. Using a simple flight-controller setup, a series of test flights and flight maneuvers (doublets) are executed, to validate the sizing results and provide feedback for the optimization and fine-tuning of the full-scale RX-3 UAV.
